City Tech Answers: How Do I

To open some e-books from the City Tech Library, you will need an Adobe ID. Get one for free by clicking here.

Desktop:

1. Download Adobe Digital Editions  
2. Download the e-book from the library’s website
3. The e-book will open in Digital Editions automatically so you can begin reading your e-book right away!

E-Reader (other than Kindle, which is not compatible with Digital Editions):

1. Download Adobe Digital Editions  
2. Download the e-book from the library’s website.
3. Go to the library view in Digital Editions
4. Connect your e-reader to your computer
5. Select the e-book you would like to transfer and drag it onto the icon for your device found on the left in Digital Editions
6. Disconnect your e-reader from your computer
7. Enjoy your e-book!

iPad/iPod Touch/iPhone/Android:

1. Download Bluefire Reader (free!) from the App Store (Apple) or Marketplace (Android)
